Wishes About the Past


Wish + past perfect: It is used to express a regret, or that we want a situation in the past to be different.

I wish I hadn't drunk so much. -- I drank too much.
I wish he'd brought the homework. --  He didn't.
I wish I had studied harder to the test. -- I didn't studied enough and I failed.
